Do You Think Chavez's Coup Story is Phony?

I don't doubt there are a number of people in Venezuela who want to kill the SOB. But considering how politically threatened Chavez must feel, I would hardly put it past him to fake a coup attempt. I've said all along he could very well actually try to invade Colombia if things became ugly at home. But staging an excuse to lock the country down would likely work even better, especially considering Colombia would kick the heck Venezuela, even if their leader has a cool beret.
