Sims 2 cheat - scenario tester box won't go away?

I tried using the scenario tester cheat to get one of my sims into private school but it didn't seem to work. There are 2 yellow boxes on the floor of one room and under the "skills & Career" tab it doesn't say anything about being in any school (public or private). I tried logging out and logging back in but the boxes are still there. How do I get rid of them??
