Are Lebanese people considered white?

I'm not trying to offend anyone but aren't lebanese people middle eastern because I know several people of lebanese descent who have european ancestry also who consider themselves white...i mean i know one girl for example who's father is lebanese but mother is white and she considers herself white i think and she looks caucasian.
